Who You Are In Christ (part 1)

You are God's child.
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"
John 1:12

You are Christ's friend.
"Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does; but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you."
John 15:15

You are united with the Lord.
"But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.  Flee fornication.  Every sin that a man does is without the body; but he that commits fornication sins against his own body.  What! know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  For ye are bought with a price" therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."
1 Corinthians 6:17-20

You are bought with a price.
"Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular."
1 Corinthians 12:27

You are a saint (set apart for God).
"Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus."
Ephesians 1:1

You are complete in Christ.
"And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:"
Ephesians 2:10

You are free forever from condenmation.
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death."
Romans 8:1, 2

You are assured all things work together for good.
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
Romans 8:28

You are free from any charge against you.
"What shall we then say to these things?  If God be for us, who can be against us?  He that spared not hiw own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?  Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect?  It is God that justifies.  Who is he that condemns?  It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us?"
Romans 8:31-34

You are established, anointed, and sealed by God.
"Now he which stablishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, is God.  Who has also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts."
2 Corinthians 1: 21, 22

You are hidden with Christ in God.
"For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God."
Colossians 3:3

You are a citizen of Heaven.  You are significant.
"For our conversation is in heaven, from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ."
Philippians 3:20

You are the salt of the earth.
"Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted?  It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.  Ye are the light of the world.  A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid."
Matthew 5:13, 14

You are the branch of the true vine, a channel of His life.
"I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.  Every branch in me that bears not fruit he takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit.  Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.  Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.  I am the vine, ye are the branches.  He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing."
John 15:1-5

You are a personal witness of Christ.
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost parts of the earth."
Acts 1:8

You are God's temple.
"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?"
1 Corinthians 3:16
