It's A Wonderful Life!

I think probably most people are familiar with the movie "It;'s A Wonderful Life!"  For those who aren't, it's a story about a man named George Bailey who arrives at a place in life when he's about to lose everything he's worked so hard for.

"After George Bailey wishes he had never been born, an angel is sent to earth to make George's wish come true. George starts to realize how many lives he has changed and impacted, and how they would be different if he was never there."

And then, at the end of the movie, all the townspeople show up to help him out of his desperate situation and he realizes just how rich his life has been.

What Child is This?

What child is this, who, laid to rest

On Mary's lap is sleeping?

Whom angels greet with anthems sweet,

While shepherds watch are keeping?

Whom shepherds guard and angels sing:

The babe, the son of Mary.

Do You Know What I Know?

"Said the Shepard boy to the mighty king

Do You Hear What I Hear?

Do You See What I See?

I found myself thinking and pondering on these words of a popular Christmas tune this morning. 

Do I see?  Do you see?  What do we see?  What do we need to see?
